Meezan Calendar App Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern use of the Meezan Calendar mobile application (the "App") provided by Meezan Enterprises ("Meezan", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Meezan Calendar Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence to use the App

Meezan grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play rules. The App, its design, calendars, artwork, Print Edition pages, databases, text, branding, and software remain owned by or licensed to Meezan.

You may not copy, scrape, extract, publish, sell, sublicense, redistribute, defeat access controls, reverse engineer except where applicable law expressly permits it, interfere with the service, or use the App or its content for an unlawful purpose.

2. Calendar, prayer-time, and Qibla information

Meezan works to provide useful and accurate calendar, religious-date, prayer-time, and Qibla information. Calculations can vary because of location quality, device sensors, calculation method, local practice, observation, authority, time-zone rules, and device settings.

The App's prayer times, Qibla guidance, Islamic dates, events, and reminders are informational tools, not a substitute for confirmation from an appropriate local mosque, religious authority, official calendar, or other authoritative source. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it for worship, travel, fasting, legal deadlines, or other important decisions.

3. Free features and advertising

The free version may display third-party advertisements. Ad availability, format, and content may vary by user, region, device, network, and advertising provider. We do not endorse every advertised product or service and are not responsible for a third-party advertiser's content, availability, or transaction with you.

4. Meezan Calendar Premium

Meezan Calendar Premium is an annual auto-renewing subscription offered through Apple App Store and Google Play. The exact localized price, currency, taxes, and any available offer are shown by the Store before you confirm a purchase. Prices may differ by country or region and may change for a future billing period as permitted by the Store and applicable law.

Premium currently includes an ad-free App experience, full-quality protected Print Edition access, and eligible offline Print Edition caching. Meezan intends Premium to include continuing value through new monthly or annual Print Edition content and App improvements. The precise inventory and availability of an edition may change over time.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when the purchase is confirmed. The subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. The Store may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

You can use Restore Purchase in the App to ask the Store and RevenueCat to recover an eligible purchase. Access restoration depends on the Store account, receipt status, RevenueCat entitlement status, network availability, and applicable transfer rules. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under the Store's policies and applicable law; Meezan cannot directly issue a Store refund that the Store controls.

5. Rewarded temporary access

A non-Premium user may be offered the option to watch a rewarded advertisement for six hours of reduced-resolution Print Edition access. The reward requires internet access and successful server verification of the completed advertisement. Closing, skipping, blocking, or failing to complete an ad may result in no reward.

Rewarded access is temporary, does not create a subscription or permanent licence, does not include Premium's full-quality or ad-free benefits, and may not always be available. Meezan may limit, suspend, or change rewarded access to address fraud, provider requirements, technical limitations, or service cost, while honouring any rights required by law.

6. Print Edition content

Print Edition pages are protected copyrighted content for personal viewing through the App. You may not reproduce, capture in bulk, extract, distribute, sell, publicly display, or bypass technical protection applied to that content. Limited caching is provided only through the App and does not transfer ownership or a standalone copy to you.

An edition, language, month, page, image quality, or year may be added, corrected, delayed, replaced, or removed. We will take reasonable steps to avoid materially misrepresenting paid access and to maintain ongoing subscription value, but we do not promise that every historic or future physical edition will be available digitally.

7. Permissions, connectivity, and device requirements

Some features require device permissions, sensors, notifications, Store services, or an internet connection. Location is used for prayer times, Qibla, and regional selection; compass accuracy depends on the device and environment. Protected Print Edition downloads, purchase validation, restoration, and rewarded access can require internet access.

You are responsible for compatible hardware, current device software, data charges, Store access, correct device settings, and keeping your device secure.

8. Updates and service changes

We may provide updates to improve security, compatibility, content, or features. Older versions may stop working with protected or server-delivered features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a free feature or service when reasonably necessary. Material changes affecting an active paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Store rules.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by Apple, Google, Firebase, AdMob, RevenueCat, network providers, and device operating systems. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages, account restrictions, payment decisions, advertisements, or content controlled solely by those providers.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict access to protected services if we reasonably believe there is fraud, automated extraction, credential or entitlement abuse, interference with security, unlawful activity, or a serious breach of these Terms. Where practical and lawful, we will limit action to what is proportionate and provide a way to contact us. Store subscription rights and mandatory consumer remedies are not waived by this section.

You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling the App does not cancel an active Store subscription; cancellation must be completed through Apple or Google.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free calculations, availability of every edition, accuracy of third-party content, or compatibility with every device. Nothing in these Terms excludes guarantees, warranties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meezan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss caused by reliance on unverified calendar, prayer-time, Qibla, advertising, or third-party information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. This section does not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in the Meezan Calendar Privacy Policy, available in the App and at https://meezancalendar.com/privacy-policy

14. Apple-specific terms

For an App downloaded from Apple, these Terms are between you and Meezan, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the applicable licence terms against you. Your use must also comply with the App Store Usage Rules. Any non-excludable Apple obligations remain governed by Apple's applicable terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and any court or forum that applicable law requires, courts in Pune, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Meezan should try in good faith to resolve the concern through the contact details below.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical, or product reasons. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where a material change requires it. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
